Accredited* angel investors or investors in accredited angel funds are encouraged to become VANTEC Members. The annual membership fee is $300 (discounts are available to various angel fund members) and provides these benefits:

$ no meeting attendance fees (and you may bring a guest)

$ access to confidential angel website (for deal-flow, due diligence, etc)

$ affiliation with other angel organizations

$ discounts to courses and workshops

VANTEC is a member of the U.S. Angel Capital Association and the Canadian National Angel Organization. VANTEC members automatically become affiliated with these groups and enjoy conference and workshop invitations and discounts. And – importantly – the ability to syndicate their angel deals. Membership discounts may be available to members of other groups or angel funds.

NOTE: VANTEC Membership is NOT required to attend VANTEC Network meetings. However, there’s a $50 attendance fee and there’s no charge to members’ guests.

There are THREE different streams under the VANTEC umbrella:

VANTEC GREEN (Vancouver Greentech Exchange)
The focus of this event is “green” or “clean” technologies. In addition to the Tuesday morning meetings, there are also monthly networking meetings held on the 3rd Thursday of each month between 5:30pm and 7:30pm, at SFU’s SEGAL Business School in downtown Vancouver.

VANTEC LIFE (LSAN)
The focus of this event is Life Sciences. Meetings are held every second month on the first Tuesday between 7:30am and 9:30am at SFU’s TIME Centre in downtown Vancouver.

VANTEC TECH
This includes all forms of advanced technology, including greentech, that are not specifically categorized as “Life Sciences”. Meetings are usually the first Tuesday morning of every second month (alternating with LSAN) between 7:30 and 9:30am at SFU’s TIME Centre in downtown Vancouver.
